Der Speicher ist Teil eines integrierten Fernw\u00e4rmesystems, das ein gro\u00dfes Stadtgebiet versorgt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Abdeckung erstreckt sich \u00fcber eine Fl\u00e4che von etwa 11.000 m\u00b2 und spielt eine zentrale Rolle f\u00fcr die Gesamtleistung des Systems. Ihre Hauptaufgabe besteht darin, W\u00e4rmeverluste zu minimieren und einen stabilen Betrieb \u00fcber die gesamte Lebensdauer des Speichers hinweg zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.<\/p>\n<p>Das Design befasst sich mit einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften Herausforderungen bei PTES-Systemen: dem Umgang mit Feuchtigkeit, Luft und \u00e4u\u00dferen Einfl\u00fcssen. Die L\u00f6sung umfasst den kontrollierten Umgang mit Wasserdampf, Niederschlag und Bel\u00fcftung, wodurch sichergestellt wird, dass die D\u00e4mmleistung langfristig erhalten bleibt.<\/p>\n<p>Auf Systemebene fungiert der Speicher als thermische Batterie mit einer Kapazit\u00e4t von rund 3.300 MWh. W\u00e4rme wird gespeichert, wenn die Erzeugungskosten niedrig sind, und bei steigendem Bedarf wieder abgegeben, wodurch ein flexibler und effizienter Betrieb des Fernw\u00e4rmenetzes gew\u00e4hrleistet wird.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt verdeutlicht, wie sich die technische Auslegung kritischer Komponenten \u2013 wie beispielsweise der Abdecktechnologie \u2013 unmittelbar auf die Realisierbarkeit gro\u00dftechnischer W\u00e4rmespeicher auswirkt.
