CAREER AT AALBORG HC SYSTEMS
Europe is replacing gas heat with electricity, slowly, network by network. The systems that do this, and the engineering behind them are rare work. Few firms in Europe actually know how to build them. We are one of them.
We engineer from Aalborg, deliver across the Nordics, Germany and are growing into the rest of Europe. We are looking for engineers, project managers, and commercial people who want to do work that matters at this scale.
STUDENT PROGRAMME
We take on a few students each year. Engineering, project management, sometimes commercial. Real work on real projects. We also work with universities and student groups on theses and research projects. If district heating is the field you want to spend time on, send us a note about what you are working on.
The work is serious.
The atmosphere is not.
We are a flat organisation. Engineers, project managers, commercial people, leadership. Everyone sits close to the work and close to each other. Decisions get made fast because there are not many layers to clear.
We are also not the kind of company that takes itself too seriously. Go-kart afternoons, summer parties, beer tastings, the occasional Friday gathering. We make space for the informal because that is where teams actually become teams.

Project Development
You develop and deliver technical solutions for large-scale heating and cooling systems. From early design to implementation, you ensure that components and system layouts meet performance, integration, and operational requirements.
Working closely with engineering and project teams, you translate system concepts into concrete designs—focusing on reliability, scalability, and efficient integration into existing energy infrastructure.
You understand the interaction between components and full system performance, and you contribute to solutions that enable low-temperature networks, thermal storage, and sector integration.

Project management
You manage the execution of large-scale heating and cooling projects from contract award to commissioning. You coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and according to technical specifications.
You act as the central interface between clients, suppliers, and internal teams—maintaining full oversight of scope, risks, and progress throughout the project lifecycle.
You understand complex energy systems and ensure that all components are integrated into a reliable, high-performing solution. Your focus is on structured execution, clear communication, and consistent project delivery.

Construction site management
You manage on-site execution of large-scale heating and cooling projects, ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.
You coordinate contractors, suppliers, and installation teams, maintaining full control over timelines, quality, and site logistics. You ensure that all components are installed and integrated according to design, enabling reliable system performance.
Acting as the link between site and project organisation, you identify and resolve issues early, manage interfaces, and keep progress aligned with overall project delivery.
You understand the complexity of energy infrastructure projects and ensure structured, disciplined execution from installation to commissioning.
