WHY IT MATTERS

With around 1,100 customers and a small operating team, Stoholm District Heating needed a solution that could increase production capacity without adding unnecessary complexity to day-to-day operations.

OUR IMPACT

The new 2.6 MW air-to-water heat pump uses ambient air as its heat source and provides additional heat production capacity for the district heating network.

The solution is designed to integrate with the existing plant, allowing Stoholm District Heating to gradually reduce its reliance on gas while keeping operation and maintenance straightforward for its two-man team.

The new plant is being built as an extension to the existing technical building at Stoholm District Heating, integrating the new air-to-water heat pump into the existing production setup, which includes an ammonia heat pump plant, accumulation tank, electric boiler and gas boiler.
